Cheap and cheerful diecast Panzer 38Ts

It’s no secret that you can pick up cheap Chinese 1/48 “diecast” tanks from the likes of Classic Armour and 21st Century, but they seem to pop up pretty unpredictably. So when I saw an eBay seller flogging Panzer 38Ts for about £7 each I thought I’d jump on it.

Rubicon Crusader AA Mk II tank

The Crusader was an obsolete mid-war tank design that was still kicking around in the late war as an SP AA vehicle. I got one of the Rubicon Crusader kits for my late war Polish army.

Rubicon Opel Blitz truck

Plenty of companies do an Opel Blitz truck in 28mm, but as far as I know only Rubicon have one in plastic. I splurged on a trio of them in a recent sale and they’ve been fun to build and paint.

Warlord M5 Half track

You can’t really field a late war Motor Platoon without their main ride: the M5 half track. There are a couple of plastic kits out there for the very similar M3 half track, but for my Polish 1st Armoured I decided to get the resin kit of an actual M5 from Warlord.
